New pricing structure for memberships in 2026
Kia ora koutou,
This time last year the PRINZ executive committee made the call to hold off on any membership fee increases for 2025, knowing the economic environment in Aotearoa was putting pressure on many of you and your organisations. We wanted to give everyone some breathing room and keep things as steady as possible.
As we look ahead to the coming year, we do need to make a small adjustment to our membership prices so we can continue to provide the support, services, and advocacy our community relies on. We’ve been careful in making this decision and have made a few changes to help soften the impact.
Here’s what’s changing:
- A lower threshold for group memberships
We know many teams are smaller or more contracted than before. To reflect this shift, we’ve reduced the minimum numbers needed for group membership, making it easier and more realistic for organisations to take part. - Cutting our own costs
To keep expenses down, we’ve given up our physical office space and moved to a more flexible working setup. This helps us keep fee increases as low as possible while still delivering the services that matter.
Our goal is to always keep delivering real value — whether that’s through professional development, networking, resources, or representing our sector when it counts and supports your mahi.
The new structure and pricing changes will reflect an average of 5% (depending on your group numbers) and will take effect from February 1st 2026. If you’ve got any pātai or want to talk through what this means for you, I am always available to chat.
Thanks so much for your ongoing support and for being part of your industry association and community of ethical PR and Communication practitioners.
