Introducing our Wellington based Central Regional Committee. Hear from from Regional Chair Morwenna Grills

Kia ora koutou,

Nau mai haere mai ki Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Welcome to Wellington, the heart of the Central Region for PRINZ. For a city dominated by public servants we are lucky to have a mix of industries represented on our committee, and whilst many of our members work in government, we aim to cover a wide range of topics.

We have an awesome little team – Fiona Cassidy, Miranda Richardson, Stephanie Westbury, Al Gibbon Paula Pollock and Libie Nguyen.

It’s been wonderful to see more people coming out to events post-Covid and we’re excited about our plans for the end of the year and into 2024. We’d be keen to hear what our members in the capital are interested in, from topics and speakers to venues and even the time of day that works best.

Like most committees we’d always like more members. The number one for me is increasing Māori representation at our table. We would like to continue having a representative from a PR Agency when our current member heads off to have baby number two and whilst we have just filled our student spot we don’t have a practitioner from academia. We are also always looking to widen our diversity to ensure we can properly represent our members.

If you’re not sure if this is the right volunteering opportunity for you then kei te pai – drop me a message and we can have a coffee and talk it through. Even if you just want to share some views about events that would interest you then please reach out. I’d also love to hear from anyone who has available space we can use for events – big or small.

Ngā mihi nui,
