Calling for Independent Chair of PRINZ Code of Ethics Review Committee

PRINZ is seeking to appoint an independent Chair to lead a sub-committee reviewing its Code of Ethics. This is a voluntary, unpaid role.

This role will provide leadership and independent oversight of a structured review process to ensure the Code of Ethics remains robust, credible, and fit for purpose in a contemporary professional environment.

About the role
The Chair will guide the work of the sub-committee, fostering balanced, constructive discussion while supporting the development of clear, well-reasoned recommendations. Working closely with the PRINZ Executive Committee and management, the Chair will help ensure the review process reflects best practice in ethical governance and professional standards.

The Chair does not need to be a member of PRINZ and is expected to bring an independent, objective perspective to the review.

About you
The ideal candidate will have:
• a strong background in ethics, law, academia, or a related discipline
• demonstrated leadership and governance experience
• the ability to chair complex discussions and build consensus across diverse viewpoints
• a reputation for integrity, sound judgement, and independence

Time commitment
The anticipated time commitment for sub-committee members and the Chair is approximately 40–50 hours over 6 months, inclusive of meetings, preparation, drafting, canvassing other members for relevant feedback and reviewing best-practice Codes of Ethics from comparable associations both locally and internationally as part of the review process.

How to express interest or make a nomination
Expressions of Interest or nominations should include a brief outline of relevant experience and suitability for the role, submitted by Saturday 7th March 2026 to susanne@prinz.org.nz

This is an opportunity to contribute to the ethical foundations of a respected profession and support standards that underpin public trust and accountability.
