Unwaged Membership Request
This membership category is for individuals who are currently studying Public Relations (PR) or Communications, on parental leave, retired, or not earning any income from their professional services, with previous experience in the PR and communications industry. It also applies to existing PRINZ members living overseas who wish to retain their membership and connection.
By joining PRINZ as a member, you agree to abide by PRINZ Code of Ethics.
Please fill out the form below to submit your request. If you are a new member, please make sure to register your profile here before submitting your application.
Please upload one of the following documents based on your current status:
✅ If you’re a full-time student, upload the Confirmation of Enrolment or Student Verification Letter that includes your full name, your commencement date and expected year of completion, the course names and subjects that you are currently enrolled in.
✅ If you’re not currently undertaking any paid work, please upload a Jobseeker Support document, provide a reference letter from a current PRINZ member, and share your LinkedIn profile link showing your most recent paid role. Please ensure your profile is public and accessible.
✅ If you’re on parental leave, upload a Parental Leave Approval Letter from your employer or a Government Benefit Notification.
✅ If you’re retired, upload a retirement letter showing cessation of employment, or evidence of receiving New Zealand Superannuation.
✅ If you’re an existing PRINZ member living overseas, please indicate your most recent membership year and upload a document proving your current overseas residence (e.g. utility bill, or government-issued document).
