Zoe Virtue is head of digital and social at Mango Communications NZ. She started her journey in marketing and PR producing content for the communications channels of Prime Minister John Key, ministers and National MPs. Her design, photography and digital experience evolved at New Trade and Enterprise as a design consultant, and eventually channel consultant where she contributed to their internal, social media and external digital marketing. She joined the Air New Zealand global brand team as social media specialist, leading to her eventual move into agencies at Sugar&Partners as digital and social media account manager across Australasia, OMD in Auckland to lead the McDonald’s account as senior account director in the Fuse Special business unit, and then Mango Communications.
Bailee Wilson Pledger, 35, has 15 years of digital and marketing experience in social media management, journalism and influencing, and PR. She has travelled around the globe, working remotely on portfolios and picking up new clients along the way.
Bailee uses the first-hand training and knowledge she has acquired from working on both sides of a filtered lens and is still thriving in those spaces. She is now using new approaches and tactics she has brought home from across a few ditches that are fresh to an ever-growing market and is passionate about “doing it all different”; the road can be uncharted for viewers and she wants her following to instinctively want a second glance.
Pascale Baker, 31, with over 10 years of experience with everything social, started her digital career as an influencer when the influencer game was still very fresh on New Zealand soil. As one-half of Serendipity Ave, she created a path of growth in a now saturated space and implemented some of the practices commonly used in campaigns today. Pascale now works as a content creator, and social media executive while juggling her work-life balance with two vibrant young boys in tow. She is affectionately known as a creative to creatives and continues to challenge the marketing boundaries set within the influencer space with a fresh take on how we place products online.
