Christchurch Event: Insights from Industry Leaders on Communications in 2024 and Beyond

October 31 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

$15.00 – $40.00

Thursday 31st October 2024 @ 4:30pm-6:00pm

Overview

Join us for an exclusive event to hear from three senior and accomplished communications leaders based in Ōtautahi Christchurch, who’ll share their thoughts and insights on the evolving nature of our profession and what lay ahead beyond 2024.

Our panel includes Melanie Carpinter (General Manager Communications, Department of Internal Affairs), Jackie Curtis (PRINZ Fellow and Managing Partner, Cherry Red Consulting) and Phil de Joux (Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Lyttelton Port Company), who are looking forward to discussing a range of topics and answering your questions.

We know the role of communications is constantly changing, shaped by technology, heightened expectations from stakeholders and a growing range of disciplines expected of practitioners. Our panel will explore what it takes to build and maintain a modern communications function, what critical new skills are needed to thrive now and in the coming years, the role of strategy and influencing in our work, and how their experiences are shaping their responses to challenges and opportunities such as AI.

We’ll be at No. 4 in Merivale and provide some nibbles to enjoy. Please note the event will have a cash bar.

Don’t miss this excellent opportunity to hear from leading experts, ask your own questions and network with colleagues in Ōtautahi Christchurch.

Note: Our panel will start at 4.45pm and will be held in the Library, which is located behind the bar at No. 4. Please advise of any dietaries when booking your ticket. Street parking is available, please allow time to find a park.
