Dr. Andrew Chen, Adjunct Senior Research Fellow with Koi Tū: The Centre for Informed Futures at Waipapa Taumata Rau: The University of Auckland.
Andrew has a background in computer engineering and AI. His academic work has focused on technology ethics, particularly use in the public sector. He has worked on digital contact tracing through the COVID-19 pandemic, facial recognition use by NZ Police, issues of social cohesion and societal resilience, and understanding the implementation of the Algorithm Charter.
