As part of the initial mahi to fill the gaps and develop a more equitable solution\, Te Arawa COVID-19 Response Hub partnered with the Ministry of Health to trial a contact tracing card in Ngongotahā\, Rotorua. Since then\, he has worked with numerous government agencies as a strategic conduit between Te Ao Māori and mainstream Aotearoa. His recent work with Clemenger Group was instrumental in the creation of COVID vaccination TVC ads for Māori viewers. \nIn May 2021\, Eruera won Gold in the Community Relations & Engagement category at the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand (PRINZ) awards. He was awarded for his work trialling the Bluetooth contact tracing card in Ngongotahā\, Rotorua\, in November 2020 – and at the heart of this was iwi engagement. \nEruera is deeply passionate about his culture and providing equitable opportunities and access for Māori. Alongside his strategic work\, he facilitates workshops that enable people and organisations to create Te Tiriti-led partnerships and provides strategic advice on the appropriate steps to better honour Te Tiriti principles. \nCurrently\, he is the Mātauranga Māori advisor for APEC NZ 2021\, which New Zealand is hosting virtually. \nOutside of work \nEruera’s interests include exercise\, rugby league\, kapa haka and facilitating iwi-led kaupapa. \n \nJacky James-  Founder of The Shine Collective\nJacky is the founder of The Shine Collective. She’s a senior communications practitioner with more than 20 years’ experience working for many of Aotearoa’s top organisations\, both in an in-house and consultancy capacity. Her impressive resumé includes working with government agencies\, as well as private and publicly listed organisations. \nShe has a broad view of the communications landscape with extensive experience in strategic planning\, community engagement\, internal communication\, media liaison and issues management\, as well as events management. \nAfter internal roles within the NZ Police and Scion (a New Zealand Crown Research Institute)\, coupled with wide consultancy experience in the dairy\, education and sports sectors\, Jacky established Shine PR (re-branded to The Shine Collective in 2018) in Rotorua in 2012. Prior to joining AUT\, Deepti worked in corporate communications at Unitec institute of Technology. SUMMARY:PRINZ Awards Winner – FMG’s cyber-security campaign ‘The Big Phish’
DESCRIPTION:11 August 2021 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm\nCPD credits: 2\nOverview\nWith cyber security breaches a $40m issue for NZ businesses and with the increase in business email compromise\, phishing and credential harvesting for the financial sector\, FMG wanted a behaviour change campaign that would empower its people to drive real change\, while actively reducing FMG’s risks of a cyberattack. With its creative\, well-thought-out and people-centric initiatives\, ‘The big phish’ lifted engagement and led to a measurable change in behaviour that continues to this day. ‘The big phish’ also received endorsement from CERT NZ – New Zealand’s national Cyber Security Emergency Response Team\, and was awarded the 2021 PRINZ Awards Prize for Excellence in Research\, Measurement and Evaluation. \nPresenter\nEmma Rowe\, Sustainability and Communications Adviser\, FMG \nOriginally from the family sheep and beef farm in the Rangitikei\, Emma moved from a tiny rural town\, to the big city\, to study Politics and Philosophy at Victoria University of Wellington in 2010. \nConvinced her future was in government\, it wasn’t until she was told by a notable political journalist at the time – she was too opinionated for the public sector\, and would be better off in the private sector. Emma landed a graduate comms role at Contact Energy – by chance – after making their GM of Corporate Affairs’\, long black every morning.  Emma has a background in social and digital media\, internal and external communications. Emma has worked for rural insurer\, FMG for almost six years\, and recently became their sustainability lead. \nIn her spare time Emma sits on the Exec of the Wellington Young Farmers\, and loves watching American sport.

I’m currently based in Auckland\, New Zealand\, doing comms for a mental health charity and hopefully doing my bit to leave a positive impact on the world.
