Key stakeholders are those individuals who have the most influence on a project or programme of work. For in-house PR specialists\, this includes internal clients from product and service owners to finance\, legal\, and senior leadership. It also includes key external stakeholders that you need to effectively engage. For PR agencies\, this includes your clients and can include partners such as marketing agencies. For PR professionals\, the skills of key stakeholder management are different from stakeholder audience communications. The interpersonal strategies\, tactics and skills that make-up key stakeholder engagement are specific and crucial for success.
